Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American broadcaster. She currently works as working as a sportscaster at ESPN and is an anchor of SportsCenter reports and hosts SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is bilingual since the age of nine. Her skill was instrumental in helping her land her first job as a production assistant for Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she was a producer of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. In St. Petersburg, she was employed as a reporter by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. In 2009, the news reporter moved to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she worked for KNVO TV 48 Univision as in addition to Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration as well as drug trafficking and various other topics on the Texas and Mexico border. She was also the Spanish reporter at the newscast from 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter for the newscast from 9 p.m. with a reporter and anchor in English and again also a Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. The duties of anchoring on sports and weather was also frequently demanded. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed additional duties. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. Besides this, she produced the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. She was born November 22, 1985 in Mexico City. She has an elder sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. Then, shortly afterward they separated, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a family vacation in Ohio, younger Collins had taken a position with her older sister. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school however, she had a clear idea of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. In the end she was enthralled with the university. The university offered her the opportunity to study a major. She graduated from school and was went to the University as a media studies major. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked for a number of years, was an acquaintance. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her with his enthusiasm for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
